Thomas has 30+ years of experience in the design, development, testing, and repair/overhaul support of aerospace mechanical, electro-mechanical and hydraulic actuation. From in-house test set design, manufacture and deployment to organic design to in-situ (“on-aircraft”) condition monitoring of actuators, Thomas follows the concept to sunset protocol for the most demanding aircraft products.
Complex Manufacturing
Thomas Instrument has extensive in-house manufacturing capabilities.
These capabilities include CNC machining, grinding, broaching, gear cutting and grinding, both wire and plunge EDM, and flow grinding. These extensive capabilities allow for the rapid production of components to both the customer and to our in-house MRO operation.
Using the C2B (Clear to Build) concept, we are able to reduce both lead times and the unforeseen issues that could arise from multiple operation manufacturing jobs.

ENDURANCE TESTING
Thomas Instruments performs extensive product testing. The Testing Department is staffed with experienced engineers and technicians trained to develop and perform acceptance and endurance testing according to detailed specifications. Strict adherence to customer requirements are followed to achieve product compliance. All test equipment is calibrated to meet the designated MIL specifications. Custom test stands and fixtures are fabricated in-house to meet the specific qualification requirements of each product.
